I have the Jabra pro 20 hearing aids and the new TV streamer. The TV streamer drops one ear from time to time but reconnects most of the time. Click on the streaming button to turn the streamer off and back on fixes it. At $250 this shouldn't happen. Auracast is supposed to be available but isn't available for the IPhone. There is no time frame given when or if they will have any auracast available for the IPhone. I have been having discussions about false advertising and Jabra tech support just hangs up on me. My personal view is they are having trouble blocking the low-cost Bluetooth transmitters for TVs and computers yet allowing public Auracast.

I am 72 and have moderate HF hearing loss in particular the speech range. Abiyt 14 years agi U was futted wutg NEXT 8 auds with moulds and they were great and I could overhear conversations 30 ft away clear as a bell even while chatting with my wife at the same time, however I hate the size of these in ear but way out so anyone could see them sticking out of my head and not the slightese bit discreet..in 2012 I purchased Seiments SIlk 7 at an outrageous pirce thanks to my late father and I thought they were OK but over rated and false marketing but they were so discreet I loved that, the best feature was programs for music and high noise work spaces.. in 2018 I got Silk 2 as the price was $1500 AUD at the time the 1 was about $1000. AUD but these perform badly.. I am now living in the Philippines and aides here are huge cost due to import taxes of 40% and VAT 12.5 % abd limited brans availavle and I can not afford these now and my devices SIlk 7 + 2 cab bit ve repaired here as the 7 pair did not last long and only 2 years before total failure and expensive seriving in Australia... I heard about $297 USD devices that are suppose to be CIC and near to medical devices..Care to commnet I think the brand is NB or sounds like that... I can not recall as I heard it on a vblog on poloitics once only. Care to comment and how I can get affordable aids that work in the speech range and not going to cost a bomb.. Thanks fo r the review of those cheapies and NO they will not meet my needs at all, I also have a paor of $50 Chinese aides that are like those reviewed with size 10 bat and not much good at all but I tried.

Yes. This one is working for me. I am beginning to understand what sounds work better for me. Is this how you're able to personalize a solution for each person's issue? Are you able to fine-tune the videos to what works best for an individual?

I am almost 3 mos new to HA with Jabra Pro 20 from Costco. My question concerns BT. I only Just learned you can only connect to one device at a time ie phone-HA, OR car-HA. What happens with Auracast if you are connected with BT phone-HA ABD a gate change announcement happens? Do you miss it if on your connected phone? Or if connected to phone when you get to airport do you have to switch to Auracast? Same question regarding TV streamer (don't have yet) and phone-HA connectivity. Thanks ps my BT phone-HA is excellent just sometimes a little issue tapping my ear to answer I've hit the button and hung up on caller 😮

There are virtually thousands of tinnitus "treatment" devices on the market today. Personally I use the FREE White Sound app on my tablet for nighttime and sleeping use, and during the day I use my $9.95 Bluetooth earbud that gives me all day masking relief whenever I need it. Obviously your expensive "FDA approved" product isn't selling so well, otherwise you wouldn't be here, would you? Oh,and by the way, my tablet is FCC approved and my earbuds are as well. TA-TA.

I have have had the Pro 20 RIE aids for a few months. Generally, I like them a lot -- esp. the price, compared to my previous $4K+ Oticon from 2007, but I've had complaints about my voice quality when answering phone calls with them. Also, the iPhone app doesn't have some of the profiles that you show n the vid. But -- excellent, very informative work. I learned some things! EDIT: I cannot find any mention of an option in the iOS app called "Auto-activate favorite locations" -- what does it do?

I am so confused. I am looking at Costco Jabra and the Phonak audio lumity l90 from an online retailer. I have severe hearing loss and the Phillips I bought 3 years ago never quite cut it for me. From what i am reading the Jabra 20 wont give me what i want. Is that true? Would i do better with Phonak? Thanks

I have been a happy Costco hearing aid user for many years, following consecutive bad experiences with 3 audiologist offices.. I just had my KS9s back from refurb with an extended warranty of another year, as I don't want to give up my excellent connection with my Android Pixel until the new Costco hearing aids work perfectly with Android and Aurocast. 100% of the time. Last summer, I thought my KS9s were worn out as we had company visit and I was asking everyone to repeat themselves. I went into Costco with a plan to buy new hearing aids, but after my new hearing test the fitter said that she thought the problem was with a significant drop in my hearing and offered to first reset my KS9s, to which I agreed, and my hearing was restored without spending a dime! So I a tomorrow there are four eventsm a Costco loyalist for life!

Everything over 8k is inaudible to me

I was a Manufacturing Engineer in my youth and I taught a class on quality. I know my hearing fails in the 2600 HZ range. (I play keyboards.) That aside, I am interested in what I find when I open and peer inside the unit? $50, $500, $1000. $2500 comparison? There appears to be a great deal of hype in the business. Anyone?

Maybe someone can report back on ANC wireless mics. On my iPhone mFi ANC wireless mics work very well except there is quite a bit of latency on my AirPods pro 2 giving me an echo effect. I understand the next gen AirPods should fix the latency problem but I still like the extra features of my Phonaks Audeo P90 aids, My Phonak remote Roger mics do not have noise canceling and are pretty much useless in noisy environments. The test I would like to see is a mFi compatible Hearing Aid (Phonaks are not) with a plugin ANC mic ($100). The best test would be to wear an ANC headset over the hearing aids to block out all noise and just stream speech from the remote mic.

A pair from my provider costs $6k for a pair of intents including all service and yearly replacement if lost. After the 4 years ( like your car's warranty ) it's all out of pocket. Notwithstanding that in 4 years, this current technology will be surpassed by new tech. This price includes the Audiologist markup, If you use CareCredit, it is up to 18 months interest-free.

Mine is multiple tones in one ear so I can never figure this out, it just seems to scream louder than any of these tests 🙁

Can you compare Bluetooth Audio QUALITY with that of the Apple Air Pod Pro gen 2?

A simple solution to the sweat/ moisture issue is to have a pair of Apple Air Pods Pro Gen 2. The transparency mode is a very decent substitute for up to moderate hearing loss, and features the best streaming audio quality. Great for the gym, outdoor walks, etc. They are incredibly stable as to connectivity. Of course, an iPhone is necessary.

I couldn’t hear anything up to just after 4000, my tinnitus nearly matched this then it all went quiet, I can’t hear high tones due to nerve damage but my tinnitus was just above 4000, how can this help with the ringing noise though ? Thanks

Thank you for putting in the work to do the testing we really need! I'm curious can the Sennheiser CCP be set up as CROS hearing aids? If not are there any earbuds you would recommend for single sided deafness?

I m just finishing my first week with the Reach. I had a previous version of the Rexton from Costco for 4 years before. The reach is a 1000% improvement. I've had not problems with the bluetooth and can hear my phonecalls clearly through them. I suppose my only complain would be, I have an Android phone and I cannot answer or talk through the Reach. That doesn't bother me since I get few phone calls these days. I hear the TV clearly now and I have yet to ask my wife to repeat something. So yes, we are both pleased. There may be better solutions out there but I doubt there is one for $1500 and my Reach fulfills all my hearing needs.

SO disappointing that ActiveVent and Motion Sensors are not included in disposable battery aids. Also WHY would a company release only 312 battery aids and not 13 battery aids?? You get double the life without much change in size from the 13 size. edited for typos

I have the Rexton Bi-cores. Already been back once for warranty repair and still have the glitch of dropping volume down in one or the other. So they are going back. Was going to then go with the Jabras but, lot of happy Phillips customers it seems.

For me the sound disappears around 3600 and becomes audible again around 5800.

Matthew how can we find out if we have tinnitus in one ear or both?

I just recently started wearing hearing aids. I had sudden hearing loss in my right ear last winter. (Moderate loss) Hearing test and an MRI later, I appear to have an idiopathic loss. As I only have a minor hearing loss in my left ear, I decided to go with an OTC hearing aid as a first step. I found an "open-box" Sennheiser "all day clear" unit for $299 with a $25 1 year warranty on eBay. I expect that I'll eventually go with a fancier model, whether Costco or Prescription still to be determined. So far, I am pleased with my OTC purchase. Thank you for the great videos.

Costco Phillips 9040. First time user and had them for about a year. Generally very pleased.
